VISIT Doñana
On 24 February the students of 6 th we visited the Coto de Doñana. At ten o'clock we went by bus to Doñana but we had to change the route for a highway accident in Huelva.
About half past eleven we arrived at Acebuche. The Acebuche is the reception center for visits to Doñana. It lies between the village of El Rocío and Matalascañas beach. Upon arrival we went to breakfast at a beautiful pine forest to get power before starting the visit.
first thing we did was take a walk around the lagoon. From different observation posts contemplate some waterfowl such as grebes, coot, teal, stork, poyuela water ...
After observing the waterfowl in the lake, we visited a fantastic audio-visual presentation of the Doñana National Park. Through video, photographs, interactive displays and audio files, we learned the different ecosystems, flora, fauna, customs and traditions of the towns near the park.
Leaving the exhibition, visit the gift shop and some friends bought regalos.Muertos of hunger, we went to lunch. After the sandwich were playing in the pines.
At three o'clock, we boarded our buses 4x4, 41 and 44, and just the gateway to the national park is one of the buses broke down and had to get off and walk along the beach until another bus picked us up.
The first ecosystem we visited was the coast. There we saw many shorebirds as Gull, Yellow-legged Gull, the oystercatcher and the sandpiper. We also saw the corpse of a large dolphin.
We turn to the ecosystem of the dunes. Our guides explained that the easterly wind pushes the sand from the beach inland into large dunes. These dunes move between six and nine meters per year, burying pine forests and forming corrals. In the dunes we made a break and had a great time dunes rolling down like a toboggan.
Marshes ecosystem was next visited. There, we also saw many waterfowl, feral pigs and mares marshland. We visited a beautiful palace where summers every year the prime minister and other VIPs.
The last visit was the ecosystem of pine forest. This time, we saw a few meters away wild boar and deer. We also visited the village of Iron, right in front of Sanlucar de Barrameda, in the same mouth of the Guadalquivir river.
And finally a visit to the park, a stroll along the beach 25 miles from Sanlucar to Matalascañas watching as the sea horizon, the sun set slowly.
already on our bus and back to Alcalá, we were all very tired, yet very happy to have lived an unforgettable adventure in a place as beautiful as the Coto de Doñana.
