I present an interesting documentary program TVE 2 " Others" nomads on the steppes of Uzbekistan, one of the former Soviet republics in Central Asia, who live off their herds of grazing Karakul sheep farmers and the Fergana Valley.
We will focus on this second village, which, among other crops such as rice and vegetables, with special attention to the cultivation of mulberry, a tree whose leaves fed to silkworms, the basis of a major industry production of natural silk with traditional methods.
This valley is located in one of the known " Silk Roads" why in other times came to Europe as well as silk, all kinds of highly valued products such as precious stones and metals, among others, from China and other Eastern lands .
